I write the jingle and I’ll sell it to the agency for a creative fee on behalf of their client and any time it is ever redone or re-arranged I’ll be credited as the composer even if it is a different arrangement. 8bitjoystick: I love the riff on that at the beginning of the Bungie Podcast. And my second question is that Frankie is leaving Bungie for Microsoft?’Donnell: Right. 8bitjoystick: And based on the thing they have the rights for the Halo series and they can make derivative games. Do you think that this is a good thing for for the future of Halo or is this just a side step? or. feel free to say “No Comment” if you can’t talk about it… 8bitjoystick: I’ve been speaking with some people who have been second party developers with Sony and they were talking about how it is really an industry first for a second party developer to become independent again. Sure we are happy to be the first on that and I remember telling the guys that “if Bungie can’t do it nobody can do it so let’s give it a shot”. But the day that we went into the Kirkland performance center that is pretty much next to us and we had all the Bungie guys over there about a hundred and twenty people in the audience and Harold the studio manager got up and had a PowerPoint presentation to say here is what’s going on. Shane (Kim of Microsoft Games Studio) was there in the audience and I think (Harold) had a slide that was “Bungie is a Microsoft corporation” and as of today Bungie is and independent corporation. Instant cheer every body stood up and gave a standing ovation and everybody went with us. There has be a few attrition things here or there. 8bitjoystick: He (Shane Kim) said that there was an interesting relationship that you guys “were almost even closer” and Microsoft has the first the first right of refusal and still wants to be the publisher’Donnell: Wow did he give all that kind of details?8bitjoystick: No that was other stuff that I’ve read elsewhere.
