Actually our slides look phenomenal. We really just went through this in the last week where we really had to have it in a PowerPoint presentation and it looks excellent. We tried to go directly to PowerPoint but it just doesn’t have the features that Keynote has. So a lot of really good-looking things weren’t coming over and it wasn’t Keynote’s fault it was just that PowerPoint was not able to handle it. That’s why we actually went to exporting as JPEGs because you can preserve all of the features of keynote.

SMS messages can be written in a number of ways. Although the A702 has a keypad using the predictive text feature isn’t nearly as easy or intuitive as standard T9 predictive text so you’re better off using the on-screen keyboard and the stylus or even using the Transcriber a handwriting recognition application which actually works quite well. The device runs off Windows Mobile 6 Professional so all of the usual features are available including Microsoft ffice applications like Word Excel and PowerPoint plus Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for Pocket PC and MSN are installed. It supports PP3 mail with the usual suspects (Yahoo! Mail Gmail and Hotmail) all compatible and it will acquire the mail server settings automatically. There’s a picture viewer movie viewer and limited editing functionality too. n the navigation side of things there are a few pros and cons. ne improvement has been in the volume of the speakerphone which is quite loud and audible even with car noise and music playing.

They work hard to bring us the best Mac software they can and yet there are some in the Mac community that won’t cut them a break just because they work for Microsoft. That’s why I feel for them given the flaw that has been found in the ffice 2008 for Mac installer. It would seem that the ffice installer… The performance issue appears to every tester in less than 30 minutes. You open the thing and you gaze at the splash screen for more than a minute. Yot swith to the view of all slides – and powerpoint crashes right away. Even ffice 2007 using Parallel running Vista is faster. I didn’t believe what I saw. I guess I’ll do my next presentations in Keynote – finally the’ve got me there. But this is really the worst piece of software I’ve seen in a decade.
