This is done by selecting Save As and then changing the Save As Type filed to an earlier version of Microsoft Word. f course this might remove some of the proprietary formatting that 2007 offers but it will make the files more universally usable by those he sends them to. Another option is for you to install the Microsoft ffice Compatibility Pack for Word Excel and PowerPoint 2007 file formats which can be found in the Download Center at Microsoft. This is a nifty and free utility that allows those who are not using ffice 2007 to open files created in ffice 2007 using their earlier version of the application. Q: I received one of those e-mails last week from a foreign person who needs my help in getting millions of dollars for him. I have not opened it but I want to know if I should report this to anyone.

This makes it much easier for programs to understand the structure of the document and use it as input to other processes. ne important category of processes is conversion such as converting a Word document into a DAISY talking book format. Microsoft and DAISY Consortium have announced a joint development project. This open technical collaboration project on SourceForge… This plug-in is going to be provided as open source via SourceForge. This means that besides the direct benefit of the plug-in it can also be used as an example for further plug-ins for conversion to other formats. The initial plug-in is planned to be available in March 2008 and the intent is to extend it to include other ffice formats such as Excel and PowerPoint over time.
