Thanks to recent events though it is possible to see handwriting on the wall. Last week Google which apparently is bound and determined to take over the online world added Sun’s Starffice software to its Google Pack of free applications PC users can download. The Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 is one of those simple devices that just does the job with style and then adds a few extra goodies. Basically it’s a wireless optical (laser) mouse but designed specifically to make a presenter’s life even easier with a built-in slide presenter laser pointer and media remote control. The presentation controls allow you to smoothly navigate through PowerPoint and other presentations from up to 30 feet away from your PC. It also doubles as a remote control for your projector video or DVD player and you can point out essential points on the screen with the laser pointer… I particularly like the digital ink feature which allows you to use it as a virtual highlighter on the screen. Naturally it has a scroll wheel and five customisable buttons so you can do pretty much anything MS ffice-wise with it but wirelessly.
