MS office monopoly threatened by Google
Merinews – Apr 29, 2007
According to reports Eric Schmidt CE Google has given clear hints that Google will soon launch a software similar to the MS PowerPoint for creating presentations online. Microsoft might shiver at this because Google is creating an altogether new and free domain of online services posing challenge to Microsoft’s desktop-oriented world where the company enjoys 95 per cent monopoly. The competitors of Google are already wary with its acquisition of DoubleClick – a graphic based online advertising website. “This proposed acquisition raises serious competition and privacy concerns in that it gives the Google DoubleClick combination unprecedented control in the delivery of online advertising and access to a huge amount of consumer information by tracking what customers do online. You will most likely need more than 1MB of storage for each photo shot at the highest quality. There’s also a voice recorder a unit converter and a calendar. VerdictThe N95 is certainly packed with features but more isn’t necessarily better. The phone is large its software seemed to run a bit slow at times the build quality is not that good battery life is poor and the GPS antenna was not as efficient as some. n contract it might be attractive but SIM free it’s vastly overpriced.
